I had a very hectic time last weekend. Firstly, a trip to see Rod Stewart in Birmingham (a belated birthday present). A brilliant evening - Rod has still got all the moves! There was also The Lions game to watch and then two trips to Ludlow Castle to take in further excellent but very different musical evenings from 10cc to The Last Night at the Proms.
However, the highlight was a fleeting visit to London and going to The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors headquarters in Parliament Square to see our son receive his diploma and become a member some 40 years after I received mine! A very proud Mum and Dad.
I was spotted coming out of a local off-licence recently with some cases of wine. I must point out that this was not for my consumption but a small present to the hard working staff of Samuel Wood & Company. If they arrange more than 50 sales in a month then I have pledged to give all staff a bottle of wine. In the last 2 months we have achieved this result and, with a push, I should be making another trip to the off-licence at the end of this month!
